Madison Town Board approves $2,500 for cemetery improvements

NY MADISON — Madison Town Board approves $2,500 for cemetery improvements and software system upgrades. Councilman Steve Johnson moved and Councilman Brad Dixon seconded the approval for cemetery work and the purchase of two books for the town and Historical Society. Historian Diane VanSlyke noted ongoing woodchuck damage at the cemetery and volunteer restoration efforts underway.
The Board unanimously approved Edmunds GovTech software upgrades for Town Clerk and Tax Collector programs, and after legal consultation rescinded an earlier motion to pay Roy Kirley's Medicare payments. The Board also approved payment of general bills totaling $30,352.84 and highway bills totaling $24,041.89.
